Doggo Guessr
Doggo Guessr is BreedGuessr's map mode: instead of naming the dog breed, you place the breed's homeland on a world map. Each quick game has 5 rounds and a maximum score of 25,000 points.
How the map mode works
A round shows a dog breed name and a photo. Click or tap the map where you think that breed first became associated with a country or region, then confirm your guess. The result draws a line from your pin to the recorded origin and reports the distance in kilometers, so you can see exactly how far off you were before moving to the next round.
How scoring and difficulty work
Each of the 5 rounds is worth up to 5,000 points, for a maximum of 25,000. Points fall off smoothly with distance: a pin right on the origin earns the full 5,000, a guess a few hundred kilometers away still scores in the thousands, and a guess on the wrong continent may only earn a few hundred. There is no time limit, so you can think through clues — the breed's name, its historic job, the climate it was bred for — before you place the pin. Difficulty comes from how well you know each breed's roots: some are named for a country or city and are straightforward, while others were refined across regions and are much harder to pin down.
What you learn while playing
The geography challenge turns breed recognition into context. You start to see patterns: sled dogs tied to arctic regions, herding dogs shaped by mountain farms, sighthounds that emerged across open plains, companions developed in specific courts or cities, and hunting breeds named for the places where people refined them. After a game, the results screen links each breed to its guide so you can review the history, temperament, and traits behind the map answer and do better on your next run.

Is Doggo Guessr free?
Yes. Doggo Guessr is completely free, with no sign-up or download — open the page and start placing breeds on the map.
Do I need to know the breed to play?
No. Unlike Guess the Breed, Doggo Guessr tells you the breed up front. Your job is to guess where it comes from, so it tests geography rather than identification.
How close do I need to be for a good score?
A pin on the correct country usually scores well, and landing within a few hundred kilometers of the recorded origin still earns most of the round's points. Scores drop sharply once you cross oceans.
