BreedGuessr is a free browser game. You can play without creating an account, logging in, or submitting your name or email address. This policy explains the data the app code is configured to collect, how analytics works, and how to contact us.

Data collected by the app

BreedGuessr uses PostHog for product analytics and error reporting. The app is configured to capture page views, route changes, page leaves, frontend exceptions, and masked session recordings. Session recording is configured to mask all input fields.

Gameplay events are also sent to PostHog. For the classic breed game, events can include the selected mode, breed shown, guess, whether the answer was correct, round number, score, and total rounds. For Doggo Guessr, events can include the selected mode, breed, recorded origin country, guess distance in kilometers, round number, score, and total rounds.

Analytics, cookies, and storage

PostHog may use first-party cookies or browser storage to keep an analytics identifier and understand sessions across pages. Analytics requests are sent through the site's/api/ingest route, which proxies them to PostHog's US ingestion and asset hosts. BreedGuessr does not use an account system in the app code, and it does not ask you to submit personal profile details to play.
